RM History

If you have any pictures from the past and you would like to share on our Web Site, please contact the RM office by email at grayson184@sasktel.net

The R.M. of Grayson was incorporated in 1913. In our RM we have six divisions. Our population is 495 people.  It consists of majority of farmland, with Organized Resort Hamlets located at Crooked Lake in the Qu’Appelle Valley. Communities situated in our municipality are, Dubuc, Grayson, Killaly, and Waldron.  We are close to two main cities, Melville and Yorkton.  We also have numerous businesses located within the RM.  The original RM building was built in 1905.  It used its purpose and then in 2011 the RM built a brand new office/shop located in Village of Grayson at 131 Taylor Street.

 Information

YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN A SMALL TOWN WHEN.......

You don’t use your signal because everyone knows where you are going.
Third Street is on the edge of town.
You dial a wrong number and you talk for fifteen minutes anyway.
You miss Sunday in Church and receive get-well cards.
You can’t walk for exercise, because every car that passes you offers you a ride.
The pickups on main street outnumber the cars three to one.
You drive into the ditch five miles out of town and word gets back to town before you do.
Someone asks how you feel, and then really listens to what you say.
